It depends on the train. Soko reaches speeds of up to 200 km/h, while Regio and Regio Express services call at more stations. A single static duration is no longer reliable for the complete journey: trains from Belgrade currently terminate at Petrovaradin, and Srbija Voz says the free replacement bus to Novi Sad city centre takes about 20 minutes.
Soko or Regio: which train to pick

Regio trains call at more stations, including places like Novi Beograd, Zemun, Stara Pazova, Inđija, Sremski Karlovci and Petrovaradin, which makes them handy if you are not travelling centre to centre. No reservation needed, seating is free.
