BG Voz is free
No ticket or SMS payment is required
Belgrade introduced free line-based public transport across its integrated fare system on 1 January 2025. BG Voz is part of that system, so passengers do not need to buy or validate a ticket.
Is there a metro in Belgrade?
Not yet. Belgrade has no underground metro in service; the first line is under construction. The urban rail that exists today is BG Voz, which runs on four lines through the city and out to Batajnica, Ovča, Resnik, Mladenovac and Lazarevac.
It is free. Since 1 January 2025 all Belgrade city transport, BG Voz included, carries every passenger at no charge. There is no ticket to buy, no card to tap and nothing to validate, for residents and visitors alike.
