What Soko is and where it runs
Soko operates on the high-speed line from Beograd Centar via Novi Sad to Subotica at up to 200 km/h. From 12 October 2026, every Soko train (540 to 557) calls in Novi Sad at the new TPS Novi Sad stop, on Rumenački put by the roundabout, roughly 4 km from the city centre, and no longer stops at Petrovaradin. Beograd Centar to TPS Novi Sad takes about 46 minutes.
Soko leaves Beograd Centar every two hours, at 5:54, 7:54, 9:54, 11:54, 13:54, 15:54, 17:54, 19:54 and 21:54, and leaves Subotica for Belgrade every two hours from 5:51 to 21:51. For example, Soko 540 leaves Beograd Centar at 5:54, stops at Tošin bunar at 6:02 and reaches Subotica at 7:28. In the other direction, the Soko that leaves Subotica at 5:51 departs TPS Novi Sad at 6:39 and reaches Beograd Centar at 7:25.

When Soko runs
Departures are spread across the whole day. The busiest are morning trains towards Belgrade and afternoon trains towards Novi Sad and Subotica on weekdays, plus Friday and Sunday evenings for weekend travel. The full SOKO train schedule is on the line page, and live departures per route are here:
Classes and comfort
Soko has two classes. Both offer air conditioning, comfortable seats and USB chargers; the higher class adds wider seating and a quieter cabin. For the short hop to Novi Sad it is a matter of comfort, for the ride to Subotica many find it worth the difference.
Tickets and reservations: the one rule that matters
Seat reservation on Soko is mandatory and ticket numbers are capped by seat capacity. Popular departures sell out, sometimes a day or two in advance. Buy online at srbvoz.rs or at a ticket office, and do not leave it to the last minute if you travel on Friday, Sunday or before holidays.
Tips from practice
- Be on the platform at least 10 minutes early, Soko does not linger at stations.

- Going to Petrovaradin? From 12 October 2026 Soko no longer stops there, so take a Regio or Regio Express train.
