About Novi Sad (Petrovaradin) station
Petrovaradin is a railway station on the right bank of the Danube opposite Novi Sad, on the Belgrade - Novi Sad - Subotica corridor. It is served by Regio and Regio Express trains from Belgrade, and from 19 October 2026 again by the SOKO high-speed train, while trains from the Šid, Sremska Mitrovica and Užice directions terminate here. Most Belgrade trains continue to the new TPS Novi Sad stop, the only Novi Sad stop for Inter Regio trains apart from the evening pair IR 656/657, which ends and starts at Petrovaradin.
Until then every train from the Belgrade direction ended here, which is why the station is often searched for as Novi Sad. City buses cross the Danube from here into the centre of Novi Sad; the free Srbija Voz bus ended on 12 October 2026.
Petrovaradin Fortress, one of the most visited sites in Vojvodina and the home of the EXIT festival, stands above the station.

The station is in Petrovaradin below the fortress; city buses cross the Varadin bridge into central Novi Sad.

Do trains from Belgrade stop at Petrovaradin?
Yes. Regio and Regio Express trains from Belgrade stop at Petrovaradin and continue to the TPS Novi Sad stop, and from 19 October 2026 the SOKO high-speed train stops here again, about 39 minutes from Beograd Centar. Inter Regio trains do not stop here, apart from the evening pair IR 656/657, which ends and starts here. Trains from the Šid, Sremska Mitrovica and Užice directions still terminate at Petrovaradin.
