About Belgrade Centre Railway Station station
Beograd Centar, widely known as Prokop, is the main passenger railway station in Belgrade. It took over from the old Glavna železnička stanica on Savski trg, which is closed to passenger traffic, and now handles all long-distance services towards Novi Sad, Subotica, Niš and Bar, as well as the BG Voz commuter lines.
The station is built into the Prokop cutting, so the platforms lie below the level of the approach roads. The SOKO high-speed service to Novi Sad and Subotica departs from here, as does the overnight train to Bar with sleeping cars.
In everyday speech and in search the name Prokop is still common, while signage and tickets use Beograd Centar.
Getting to the station
The station is at Prokop, between Vračar and Savski venac, with approaches from Kneza Miloša street and Autokomanda. City bus lines serve it, and it is reachable from Nikola Tesla Airport by bus with one change.
